EVENT INFORMATION

 

Thank you for your interest in performing or hosting an event at NLK Studio. Here is a breakdown of how we operate our events, what is expected, and what options exist for hosting. 

While NLK Studio is the location of your event, THIS IS STILL YOUR EVENT.

 Attendance is primarily the responsibility of the renter.
 

Two Ways To Book Performances Or Events At NLK Studio: 

1. Renting out the studio. Rent the studio as a blank canvas for the event. 

   1. Renter retains all ticket sales, but is responsible for all workings of the show. 

   2. RGB wall lighting with customizable colors and stage lighting included. 

   3. All furnishing included, such as stools, chairs, and tables. 

   4. Additional items available to rent upon request. Please check the booking site for details. 

2. 60 artist/40 venue split of ticket sales. This includes basic advertising, setup, and production assistance from NLK Studio (see below), based on the event. 

   1. Digital event page for attendance, pre-booking, and ticket fee collection (Venmo, Zelle, CashApp). 

   2. Social media post and a building-centric print advertisement. 

   3. RGB wall lighting with customizable colors and stage lighting.
       

Available To Add On To Any Event: 

• Sound system: 2 main speakers, 1 monitor, and 20-channel Soundcraft audio board with all necessary mics and cables and audio engineer (starting at $300). 

• Artistic direction and stage design (starting at $200). 

• Lighting Director (starting at $200). 

• Cooler with Ice ($10). 

• Audio/Video/Photo capture: quotes available upon request.
   

Expectations for 60/40 Split Option: 

• Advertising and Ticketing

  • Images for posters to promote the show/event. NLK Studio will provide a poster using its event template. Renter may use their own in addition, as long as it has the NLK Studio logo and QR code for booking (provided upon request). 

  • Promotion of the event on all social media and email list platforms, including sharing the event page created and funneling all ticket sales through the digital event page. 

  • Recommend $25-30 ticket price. It’s a smaller listening room, offering the opportunity for a very intimate performance. 

  • No other local performances or events advertised within 72 hours of the date. 

• Day-Of Items 

  • Be prepared to show up 2-4 hours before doors, depending on level of setup and sound checking needs. (To be discussed during the booking process)

• Merch and Refreshments

  • Merch sales are allowed and encouraged.  Renter is responsible for the merch table. 

  • The Renter is welcome to provide snacks and refreshments, either for free or for a fee. 

  • ***All performances must be BYOB for alcohol. NLK Studio does not have a liquor license.*** 

  • If renter is providing refreshments, they are able to provide a tip jar to recoup refreshment expenses. NLK Studio does not collect any fees associated with merch or refreshments. 

  • Renter are responsible for all sales and money collection.
